ISA Flat Water SUP Instructor Course

The ISA Flat Water SUP Instructor Course is designed for confident paddle boarders who want to teach beginners safely and professionally in flat water environments.

During the course you'll develop practical skills in:

• The role of a professional SUP Instructor.
• Coaching techniques and lesson planning.
• Paddle boarding safety and duty of care.
• Venue selection and risk assessment.
• Equipment selection, maintenance and storage.
• Teaching beginner paddle boarders.
• Delivering enjoyable, safe and engaging lessons.
• Professional coaching standards.

Training is practical, enjoyable and focused on preparing you for real-world instruction.

Course Details

Duration: 2 Days

Course Fee: £225

Following the course, you'll complete 20 hours of supervised practical teaching experience before delivering a final assessed lesson. Once successfully completed, you'll receive your internationally recognised ISA Flat Water SUP Instructor qualification and be added to the official ISA Instructor Register.

Entry Requirements

To join the course you'll need:

• A good level of fitness.
• Confidence on a Stand Up Paddle Board.
• Confidence in the water and the ability to swim.
• A genuine enthusiasm for coaching and working with people.

Before certification, you'll also need to complete an approved Instructor Water Safety qualification (or equivalent) together with the required practical teaching experience.
